OWB holster

Am interested in OWB holster that can be used for concealed carry wearing a shirt untucked- also, have some winter turtle necks that can be worn outside with jeans. Any suggestions- of course, want one that doesn't print. thanks.

Couple other leather holster makers are Lobo Gunleather and Tucker Gunleather. Both do excellent work! If you are interested in a good kydex holster for a semi auto, take a look at the Light Draw holster made by Veddar leathers. All can be concealed as you describe (if the bottom of your shirt is not too tight!)

If you like a thumb break, (retention) DeSantis makes several "pancake" style leather holsters that stay close to the body.

Come in similar styles with or without a thumb break.

I would have to presume that if you are going OWB under a shirt that you plan on using a relatively "thin" semi-auto. Very few revolvers won't print under a simple shirt. I carry both OWB but under vests, never just under shirts.

I carry a 19-4 and 66-3 snub in a Lobo Enhanced Pancake and a Galco 416 with a thumb break. When I carry my J frames I use a Galco SM122 pancake.


All conceal well. Oh, I only carry OWB year round.

Another vote for the Wright Leather Works "Predator". This holster will hold your gun very close to your body. I cover it with an unbuttoned shirt all summer.

I carry my M&P 9c or a couple of 1911's with a light cover shirt. Jason Winnie Leathergoods His exotics might be a bit on the spendy side, but the normal holsters are priced well. Quite similar to Don Hume's holsters.

Pitbull Tactical, and Bravo Concealment are both very concealable. Compared with most leather, they can form the kydex to actually "torque" around your body. I have several OWBs in leather, including some mentioned above, and they are not nearly as concealable. I wear my Pitbull with my Shield OWB all of the time, and it is about as concealable OWB as my other IWBs.

I have a hand made holster OWB - handmade and fit M&P 2.0 shield. It has loop to run belt thru. Only problem is that it will shift position- I put it just behind front rt. pocket. It is great, but then if sitting or moving much it tends to cant forward....and then prints. Plus, it is not in position I want to draw. Can't use it if I can't solve this.

Any of the suggested OWB pancake holsters will be fine. Just as important as the holster will be the clothing, a tight thin white tee shirt or turtleneck isn't going to hide anything. Medium to dark colored loose fitting shirts with some type of design will go a long way in distracting eyes from the outline of a holster/firearm. The build of the person will also have an impact in making the holster/firearm more or less obvious. The clothing should be appropriate/common for the region, climate and situation.

OWB holster "Versacarry"

I have used a Versacarry 'Protector" S1 OWB for a year. I have one for my 1911 and a S&W 3919. They are low cost. Around $30 I constantly wear them with shirt out and have never had a problem with concealment or printing . When I started out, I made the mistake of buying several $100 holsters that i did not like and they are hard to sell.
