OZZY OSBOURNE HAS PASSED

Sad news. At least he went out with a bang and got one last performance in. I saw Black Sabbath twice at the Black and Blue (Oyster Cult) shows that were yearly events in Honolulu for a few years. But it was with Ronnie James Dio, not Ozzy. Wish that I’d seen him live. Their eponymous first album is my favorite and is a true classic. You will truly be missed, Mr. Osbourne…R.I.P.

Actually got to meet him at a gun show here,he was doing a concert at Rupp Arena here in lex ky and was doing a pass through on setup day,my late friend was a huge Ozzie fan swore up and down it wasn’t him (ozzy was 5 ft nuttin)Ashe was to short, should have seen his face when ozzy got to our table and talked,

I just walked in and that’s the first thing I heard on the radio @3:00P. Not a surprise but it still hurts a lot. Between The Doors, Alice Cooper, and Black Sabbath it’s no wonder my grades went down! When Ozzie & Co. came out it just blew me away. At least the original 4 had one last go together.
R I P Ozzie, your music will live on. Plus all the stories…

What a loss. See you on the Crazy Train one day, sir.

I am so glad he got to go back to England and have that farewell concert in his hometown. I never got to see Ozzie live. He was supposed to play Reading Festival in 1980 with Blizzard of Oz, but the band wasn't ready so we got Slade instead, another story I'm sure I;ve told here before.

I've been bracing myself for the loss of many of my rock heroes since Neil Peart and my bass hero Peter Cowling passed. I hope this isn't the start of rush.
