I wondered if there were any particular SW models that were
known to be weak and have a history of problems with the more
powerful ammo. In particular I have owned a 469 for 30 years
and shoot normal bulk ammo when plinking and at the range
but I conceal carry +P LE ammo in it and I have only shot probably
18 or 20 rounds of the hot stuff just in testing as I would do
a rapid fire of 6 or 7 rounds just to make sure there are no feed
problems etc.

At the time of the 469 the most common ammo was 9mm NATO, it is as hot or hotter than todays +p.

That is very interesting. NATO has not gone anywhere so why dont
I ever see NATO 9mm ammo available anywhere ? Maybe someone
knows of some sources. I'd like to try some out. I assume that is what
our military shoots in the M9 Berettas ?

It's not made by NATO; it's made to a fairly broad specification,
promulgated by NATO. The US interpretation of this particular
NATO stanag is 124 gr at about 1240 f/s.

If you're looking for guaranteed overpenetration, it's the load for you.

Winchester claims they're selling M882. Cabelas, Academy, Midway...box looky like dis:
