P.C. Shield Plus

A local shop got in a new Performance Center Shield Plus. It's a pretty good looking pistol. Everyone seems to be impressed with the trigger on the Plus and are wondering if the whole M&P line will eventually get that trigger as standard equipment.
It was priced a little out of my reach right now, they had it tagged at $875. It did not have an optic on it, I'm not sure why it was so high.
This shop got in standard Plus models when they first came out, sold them quickly, and seem to be having trouble getting anymore.

Whether or not Smith & Wesson will replace the hinged trigger safety with the Shield PLUS' bladed trigger safety remains to be seen. It's possible, as that's how it worked with the Shield M2.0, after they released the M&P45 Shield with more aggressive grip texture and front slide serrations, those features were added to all future iterations of the Shield.

The Shield PLUS is in high demand right now because it's new and a lot of folks have been clamoring for S&W to make such a thing since the SIG P365 hit the market and the SA Hellcat followed after, so prices are bound to be high for awhile yet.

That being said, if you already own a Shield and only want the PLUS model for the increased magazine capacity, then you may want to look into magazine extension kits like those offered by Magguts and Hyve. They won't get you the 13 rounds of the extended Shield PLUS magazine, but they will allow you to match the capacity of the stande flush-fitting 10 round Shield PLUS magazine.
