I use Ranger 127+P+ in all my 9mms but only as carry ammo after I have fired maybe 10 rounds to check for proper feeding. S&W does not recommend +P+ in any of their guns.

In my Sigma manual, it specifically says not to use +P+.

I would say you can use whatever loading you want but if the gun decides to come apart on you don't go back to Smith and ask for your money back.
