Just bought a vintage Pacific rotary case trimmer. Came with one 30 cal pilot. Now the search for others. I did find that my Lee case gauge pins fit in the cutter head, and can be secured with the set screw. But because the Lee case gauge pin bases are threaded, I may try to devise a sleeve to protect those threads. I did a cursory search for pilots and Lyman makes a set, but I don't know if those would work, or maybe a another brand. The 30 cal pilot that came with it has a flat on the shaft, where the set screw would rest. Newer Hornady pilots appear to have a turned down shaft section.

Thanks for looking.

You might give Hornady CS a call. 1 800 797 4632, they sometimes give you a pleasing surprise.

Whatever you end up doing, get a complete set of pilots for everything you might load. I don't do 17 and 20 calibers, but I do everything above that to .515" (I also have 4 types of trimmers including Forrester's Classic, for Buffalo and Elephant cartridges)

You just never know what you may bring home from that garage sale around the corner, so go ahead and have the basic tools for loading it, that's how I came to load 117 cartridges!
