I have been searching for a leather paddle holster to accommodate my S&W CSX. I have an Alien Gear IWB and a 1791 IWB now. But I have grown fond of my Safariland paddle holster that I use to carry my Model 39-2. Safariland does not offer the holster any longer. It has thumb break and the belt catch is mounted to the holster instead of the paddle and is very comfortable to me. I have found the Aker Holster company one option, but they do not at this time offer it for the CSX. Does anyone have a source that offers this type of holster that I can look into?

You might contact El Paso Saddlery. I wanted a paddle holster for a handgun they didn't make one for but they used an existing holster design with a paddle they already used and came up with a nice one for me.

Thank you folks,

Good suggestions and the info about other handgun fitment is appreciated!

YMMV, but my CSX fits an old 1911 Bianchi suede IWB. I was surprised!

My vote would be Kramer. Their MSP paddle is all day comfortable. I carried them for work. Easy to remove without those annoying plastic retention clips like on Safariland. Their horsehide retains shape and is so tightly molded it’s like kydex. Looks like new with a quick shoe polish which my Glock holster obviously needs. Worth the wait.

Baxter,
Forgive me I'm new. Was this a response to my question?
I do like the holster you posted btw.
Thank you

May want to check out WBC Holsters.(Used to be Wild Bill Concealment). They have a website. I carry my Shield in their Fusion Paddle model. Before retiring 10 years ago I carried a Glock 23 in one for work. Best paddle I have found. Rides high, easy on and off. IMG_0399.jpegIMG_0400.jpeg

Thanks, I'll check them out.

I never quite understood the admiration for paddle holsters. It literally takes seconds to thread a proper gun belt through a OWB holster and I wear it as long as I need to in comfort. Unless one were to put on and take off a pistol or revolver 5,6,7,8+ times a day I don't really get the relevance. I could be wrong here, but having a piece of stiff leather against your body all day and getting sweated on doesn't seem all that comfortable to me. To each his own and that is why they make so many different flavors - just never quite got this one.

I do paddles for a wide number of pistols, don't care for them without some kind of retention, whether tension screws or thumb breaks something other than gravity has to hold them in if you're active enough.
That said, paddles are easy on and off but tend to be harder to conceal, once again, if you're active with a leather paddle it can move around a bit. If you use a plastic paddle, they can be a pain to take off.
An easy solution for a smaller weapon can sometimes be a simple snap on pancake, with or without retention devices.
This is just my humble opinion after 2 decades of leather holster making.
