My favorite color is red, and I wanted to add some personalization to my 15-22.

Used Krylon Fusion for Plastics spray paint from Walmart (~$6). Disassembly of the mag takes 20 seconds, and taping it up takes about 5 minutes. After spraying it needs 15 minutes to dry before another coat (I did 2 coats.) Then about an hour to set before it can be handled without caution.

Overall looks really damn good for what it cost.

Not bad..I baked my mag in oven @ 300*/1hr :), every ounce of my rifle is painted. My taping took a little bit longer lol

Here's an updated picture with 3 more magazines and I also did the crayola trick thing. The S&W logo, and the description of caliber are blue. Safe is green, Fire is red, and the M&P logo is red.

The left mag was the one I did first, it came out a little lighter than the other three, and had a different taping method, but they all look around the same color and operate great!

(I don't know why one is upside down, sorry.)

@ Soundwave, I'd like to do the stock, and grip but don't know how to get them off, and I am terrible at re-assembling things. I have a forward angle grip and rail ladders coming in the mail tomorrow so I'll be doing those too.

Grip is easy. Look at the bottom you will see a allen head shape. Find the right size and take off, but be careful putting it back in. Also two springs will come out. Make sure you go slow and put them both back in the original postion. When the blue spring comes out, it will drop a little brass looking sliver. This is for the safety DO NOT loose it.

Stock, pull it back to the farther position. Now pull the little lever down as far as you can go(grab the lever from the middle) and it just slides off.

Folks, make sure you use the Krylon plastic sealant before painting. It will help the paint stick better and last longer.

Being able to handle and being cured are not the same thing. Painted items should be allowed to cure for several days before use.

Of course, the can says 1 hour to handle, as in to move them from point A to point B of which I have done (and de-taped). I intend to let them sit there for several days.

I guess painting your mag red and color filling those weird colors explains these photos of you???
Sorry OP I just saw this on your image host and thought they were funny. I know there not the OP.

Not for my firearm, but if it floats your boat, then that's all that really matters!

All personal expression, is...personal! :D

Check youtube, there's plenty of video's to show you how to take your grip and stock off.

I managed to get the stock off! Woo!

Not sure about the grip yet but I'll tackle that sooner or later. I'm curious to see how well the mag paint holds up before I paint anything else.
