Much appreciated. Ive got some pancake wings ordered for my Raven holster. I think leather will be better though.

They look yummy!

I ordered a Lobo a couple weeks back, it should be here soon.

I've been really happy with Ray's work. I'll write a report when I get this latest model.

The High Noon holsters are about the nicest I've seen so far. Do OWB pancake holsters have much built in retention?

Look at Fist holsters. Have had Shield pancake OWB holster since June 2012. Excellent product.

Ok, sorry for the noob question, but what's the difference between a pancake holster and a paddle holster, or are they the same thing?

No apologies for newb questions.

Pancake is all outside the waist. Two slots for belt to go through. Paddle has plastic that sticks inside waist and not belt loops.

A pancake holster is just what was pictured above. A paddle holster is a holster that has a paddle attached to the back like this:

That is a Comp Tac paddle holster made in Kydex. You can see how the paddle would just loop over your belt. This makes it easy to remove if you have to take the gun on and off during the day. I have used one quite a bit and like them fine.

I have a panther concealment OWB paddle holds a FS 40 I love it. As stated, easy on/off without belt removal and can be worn 24/7 with comfort.

I have a DeSantis Mini-slide that I originally purchased for my M&P 9c.

That pistol was a very tight fit in the holster even after break-in, so much so that I installed a longer tension screw to get a proper fit.

The other day I tried my Shield and found it to be an excellent fit. When installed on my belt the holster has sufficient tension for good retention yet permits an easy draw. The holster conforms to the body and holds the pistol tight against my side. Conceals well under an untucked polo shirt or loose t-shirt.

Here is the enhanced Pancake holster I just received from

Lobo Gun Leather - Home

great fit & real comfortable. Carry is very close to the body for great concealment.
