paper inside boxes

I have a couple of guns that are not wrapped in any kind of paper like my M19-2 is. They are just sitting in the box.

What can I use as a suitable substitute?

Brownell's sells the paper, although it's not marked S&W, it's the same stuff. I bought a bunch of it to put in my gunsafe and to wrap around reloading dies.

Thank you. It really doesn't need to be S&W paper.

sometimes they do have it...sometimes they don't...NOT always available from S&W...

I don't keep mine in the boxes but I use Bore Stores to store them in my safe.

If I have the VCI paper I wrap them in that before placing them in the Bore Store.

Not sure they would fit into the boxes though.

I ordered some 20 sheets of S&W paper off eBay, cheap enough. Still using them up..

Just bought some off ebay. About a buck a sheet and free shipping.
Search Smith and Wesson VCI paper. If you don't want the S&W logo on the paper, there is also plain VCI paper for sale, even cheaper. Be aware. the S&W paper is not the heavy waxed paper from years ago, these sheets are thinner, but I suppose offer the same protection.

Definitely different than the early paper, but it is the same as they use when wrapping guns today.
