Passing of our member Prof. Dr. Hanns-Christian Salger

It is with great sadness that I have to inform the members of the smith&wesson collectors association that my collector friend Professor Dr. Hanns-Christian Salger passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. Hanns-Chtistian was only a member of the SWCA for a short time, but he was there with heart and soul.
We have lost a very worthy person and I in particular will miss him very much.

Prof. Salgers passing was reported to me by his office, because we both were preparing for a legal case together. I only knew him from the business side of life, but we directly had some connection.

I got to know him as a very honest, straightforward and fair person.

Reading this post here in this forum made me again speechless. I always had the feeling that he might be into firearms, but never had the opportunity to talk to him about this. Life is sometimes stranger than you can imagine.
