Paying It Forward

A couple of days ago, a man was explaining to a clerk in the Stockbridge, GA office of Georgia Power why he could not pay his overdue electric bill when another customer stepped up and gave the man money to pay his bill. Then he went on to pay bills for other people in line to the tune of about $1500. Turns out the generous customer is a veteran and was at one time homeless.

I didn't have much compassion for folks that were disabled and/or out of work, etc, until I had been one of them.
