Using paypal? go ahead while your at it make a donation to the anti-gun lobby groups. Theres a whole list in any search engine. and if you claim...well its so convenient STOP and think about it!! kind of selfish isnt that feeling convenience? theres other things that can be said BUT I dont want to upset the "MOD squad".....if you catch my drift

Doesn’t this Forum use PayPal to receive supporting membership fees? I’m pretty sure I went through PayPal to re-up last time, (and I’ll most likely do it again next time.) Maybe S&W Forums is actually part of the “anti-gun lobby.” 🙄

Of course NON supporting members don’t know this.

then why do they use it then? there's other forms of payment. by the way...I love the emoji you use

Don’t want to say too much to shut this tread down but a lot of companies/businesses today are “anti what we believe in” but are used/needed to survive today. The NFL is off my list for certain reasons but a lot of people on the forum watch football. I choose not to. PayPal certainly is handy at times. Larry

It must be that time of year again. You know, the time when we dig up the "PayPal is anti gun" discussion. If PayPal were truly anti gun, why would they allow us to use them to take member's payments? Why would they allow us to buy nearly any gun part we want using their service? My understanding is PayPal initially did allow payments for firearms, but then on the advice of corporate lawyers, stopped allowing it's use for that type of transaction. I have bought a boat load of firearm parts using PayPal, and never received a notification that I couldn't do so. If they were really anti firearm, why on earth would the allow such transactions?

I wonder how many people walk into a store to buy something and ask if the store owners are anti gun? Or a restaurant or a gas station, or a bar? Yeah, if the Brady foundation asked me to buy something, I'd tell them to pound sand. PayPal isn't the Brady Foundation.

The unfortunate reality is that if we boycotted all the companies who support something we disagree with, we wouldn't be able to buy much of anything. It's different if a given company goes out of their way to be openly hostile to gun ownership or some other principle I hold dear, but if we go down the road of avoiding every company whose leadership supports things we dislike, we wouldn't be buying much and would be living in squalor. It is what it is.

I've bought a bunch of gun stuff on ebay using paypal but never a gun itself. I've read somewhere that they will cancel your account if you try. I've got no idea myself.

I sold a parts kit a few years ago and accepted his paypal, they weren't happy with it,although I showed alot of pics. but sold it as is. I didnt accept returns as stated in the listing so they contacted PP. and my account was frozen. I did however transfer most of my funds out of the PP account except a hundred bucks...so the buyer kept the parts kit and he got half his money back....NEVER AGAIN....FYI....but if a buyer buys with a credit card they can still initiate a charge back using that even if paypal rules in the sellers interest they have an agreement with all CC companies so beware

I've never sold anything on ebay or amazon. But I've had to have both places refund my money on things I bought. I've been pretty lucky so far

A friend had his email hacked. The hacker persuaded him to send him funds through PayPal. Others detected the scam through analysis of the email/text message pathways. PayPal notified and they flagged the transaction, which had not yet gone through. It took the friend's action, not PayPal who said "sorry Charlie", but first thing the next morning he was at his bank's door before opening to stop the transaction and return funds to his account. Learn and beware!

It wasn't an opinion mraudiemurphy, it was a condemnation of all who use paypal and your opinion was people that do use that are supporting anti-gun positions. wink-wink.
And in reply to your snide remark, yes, I own guns and like paypal. Now drop it!!!
why? Im just getting started....let me guess your in Fl and upset that the crystal river nuclear plant got to keep your monthly donation for a new reactor when they changed their minds....or was it when you learned Morgan&Morgan was behind the bank roll to legalize the green leaf.....
