I recently picked this up and I have some questions . First , mine doesn't have the PC logo on it . Second , it came in an aluminium case , but not a PC model . It has the paper that tells how to set the lock , just like my other PC cases . Now did the mags come marked S&W ? PC marked ? This came with everything , extra grips , lower power recoil springs , papers , so it has me shaking my head . It's marked PC1911-2 , so it's obviously a PC model , just a lot of questions . One other thing , I've never had a 1911 with such a tight barrel bushing . This gun is a well made piece , I can't wait to shoot it .

Took it to the range today , this is an awesome piece ! Accuracy wise , I'd put it up there with my .3566Limited , yes It's that good . It doesn't have a Briley bushing so you can't pin the accuracy on it . It is a really tight fit and like I said , the barrel bushing is the tightest I've ever experienced . I was shooting Aguila 130gr +p's and it was right on . Then I shot some Georgia Arms 124gr Hornady XTP HP's +p loaded in Starline brass , and that opened a can of whup*** on those targets . I think a found a new favourite PC gun .

Having more than a few PC guns , I hear what you're saying . Mine actually has an earlier SN than yours . Could you answer any of my questions or did you get just the gun ? I have a feeling I'm getting a letter on this one , if nothing else we'll at least find out how many were made .

I hear you on the tight barrel bushing, I have a first year S&W 1911 108284 billboard and after more than 30,000 rounds I have to use the bushing wrench to remove it.

My .38 Super PC 1911 has a standard barrel bushing but my PC 1911 in .45ACP has a Briley spherical bushing and it's a PITA to remove and reinstall. Back when this gun was released, there was a video on S&W's website showing a gunsmith popping it out and back in just like a standard bushing but he had magic fingers or something. At the PC's request, I returned the gun for service and the gunsmith working on it called me, essentially saying they are are tight but shooting the gun should wear it in.

okDo a search , I'm pretty sure BMCM did a tutorial about removing and reinstalling Briley bushings . I have quite a few PC guns and those bushings can be a pain . My 4in .356 was sent back to the PC shop and had a 9mm barrel and Briley bushing fitted . So if I want to shoot 9mm I have to take that bushing out and put the other one in .
