Pearce Extension for Shield 7-Round Mag

Just purchased 2 Pearce extensions last night

I just purchased 2 of the Pearce extensions last night and it already says they shipped. I think the grippy plastic extension will feel more like the frame. Only time will tell.

FYI, they are avail now.... Ordered today

Hi All Shield Owners,

I just got off the phone with Pearce Grips. I asked them if they were going to be producing an extension for the 7-round Shield magazine. The person at the other end of the line said that it was highly likely and might appear late in the summer. There are a lot of us who are hoping this will be sooner than later!

If more of us call them at their contact number, (800) 390-9420 (US only), or email them at [email protected] requesting them, it might help to accelerate the process.

Got my Pearce Grip extenders in the mail today and ohhhhhh baby. A perfect fit. So glad I ordered one for all my magazines. If you own a shield you need to throw these on your 7 round mags. I gave away my 8 round mags because the 7 round with grip extenders fits and hides better in my appendix holster. Just plain awesome.

Took the Shield to the range yesterday and shot with the Pearce on both mags. HUGE difference on the 7 rounder. I could barely hold onto the thing before, but it felt great with the Pearce. There was guy next to me who was there with his new Shield. We got to talking and I handed him my 7 rounder and said "try this." I know he'll be buying them. The target here was 2 full mags at 30 ft. Fairly quick, but not really "combat shooting" speed, more like timed fire. Have now gone 300 rd without any issues on the Shield, after a few feed problems on the first 2 range trips. Love this gun.

I bought two Pearce extensions for my Shield's two 7 rounders, and they are great - perfect fit, just the right size, and look great. However, when I figured out they work every bit as well on the 8 round mag, I realized I should have ordered 3. The 8 round mag with extension is perhaps not so great for concealed carry, but it is fabulous for shooting at the range. When Midway has them in stock, I will add one to a future order (so small, there will be no increase in the shipping charge).

Are you guys ordering these direct from Pearce? I'm hoping to find them somewhere with better shipping charges, or where I can at least bundle some other items to take the sting out of them.

Larry

As far as I can tell, Pearce is the only place that has them so far. You'll probably be able to save a few bucks on them down the road, but no idea when. Pearce does gouge a bit on shipping at $6.00 for 2 oz first class.
