Penn Bullets?

uh, yeah...

I think so, I have been waiting for a while now, no answer to email inquiries...bad part is, I lost track of whether my card has been charged or not...guess I can reconstruct it.

You can usually go to the card's website and pull up at least the last six months' worth of bills.

Are they still running way behind on deliveries?

thanks,

Okie John

Yes and no. Orders have been going out much faster with the increase in help over the last several months. However I have two casters that are currently down( leaving me with just 6 machines right now) and have been for the last 3 weeks and are in the midst of a total rebuild. I just got all the parts in and should have one machine back up this week and the second the week after. There is even some inventory in place which is helping fill orders that are pending and I should have most of the current orders caught up shortly as we are making a big push this upcoming week to get caught up on the older orders. There are many bullets now cast for orders that are just waiting to be lubed and sized which is being done over the next two weeks. There was also several large group of orders that came in the last two weeks of April.

If I did not get to your e-mail yet I will as there is a back log of calls and e-mails I have to get to yet. Sorry about the delays but the last three weeks has been involved with deliveries of local orders, picking up materials, being at the foundry getting alloy made and several trips to the machine shops to get parts made for the machines. The plan is to concentrate soley on orders these two weeks to get caught up as much as possible.
Thanks for you understanding. Welcome To Penn Bullets INC.

I'm hopin my order is in the "get caught up" pile too..... Thanks for puttin out great bullets Bob.

It's product worth waiting for.

Glad this thread was started I was just getting ready to place an order. I'm also glad the response came as to why the back ups. I don't need anything in a rush, so I'll keep the order to myself for a week or so. Let you guys get your feet back under you again.
Look forward to doing business in the future though.

Oh, and welcome to the forum Robert, or Bob if you prefer.

Bob is fine and actually I have posted on this forum before but not for awhile and couldn't remember my password and I asked for it and it sent me the info and it listed me as a new member. Not sure why it did that but no matter I just wanted to bring everybody up to speed.
Any inquires on orders should include what was ordered as that part of the system is not computerised yet ( I am hoping to get that done this year) and its easier for me to tell what is done by the bullets that are done or are going to be done as it relates to each order.

Wow! Talk about getting it from the horse's mouth...

Mr. Palermo, thanks for your responses. I need to scratch my head a little more, but I'll have an order for you by the end of the week.

Thanks for the response Bob. Apparantly a re-org of their databases got a number of folks set back on the post count.

Order placed, looking forward to more soon.

As someone who has used a bunch of different cast bullets let me assure you the wait will be worth it. Penn is definately the way to fly!

order filled

my order just came in, thanks Bob.

I've been buying bullets from Penn for something like twenty years now. Other than occasional slow delivery due to demand, I have no complaints.

I just wish he still went to shows. I bought a LOT of his bullets at the OGCA show when it was at the Cleveland IX Center.

I started using Penn Bullets about 1985-86, and continue to use them. I always bought from Bob when he set up at the PGCA, OGCA, and the eastern OH independently promoted shows. I really stocked up on bullets and haven't bought any for maybe six or seven years now, but Penn Bullets are top-drawer, IMO and experience. I use Bob's .32 FP in my 32-20s and they are accurate and lead-free.

Good people, good stuff.

Ok, so what is considered a reasonable time between order and delivery?

Many years ago , I used to see Bob at the Valley Forge , PA gun show. One time , I commented on the number of bullets I got in a box that were not completely filled out or were missing lube. I even brought them along , but left them in my truck. But he didn't doubt me or even ask to see them. He apoligized and gave me another box of 500 free of charge.
