Performance Center 629s, Stealth Hunter or Competitor

i dont know the stealth hunter , but ive met the competitor. its as accurate as any of my handguns, and was rock steady offhand. they are rare and desirable, so if you get tired of it, moving it on shouldnt be hard.
oh, yeah! i want one of my own!! and a 686 model as well :)
good luck with whatever you decide, and remember, "competitor" is just a word/name. my highway patrolman has never once mentioned my driving habits...:D:D:p

I just bought the hunter with a red dot and it seems pretty accurate. 7.5 barrel except the red dot is junk after 40 rounds the front glass cracked.Has anyone had experience with the pc hunter?

Competitor, hands down. I have a 686 competitor and is the most accurate gun I've ever fired. Best trigger out of the box I've ever tried too.

I'm sure the stealth hunter is great too, and is right on par with the competitor, but the competitor just does it for me.

On an N frame, heavy gun, having the variable weight system would be nice too in case you want to shoot some really hot or really light loadings. That's kind of the beauty of .44 mag isn't it ? The variable potential that it can be loaded with ……

Given the choice, I'd spend perfectly good money on another one of these:

Don't know if it has a name. But it's 7.5" barreled with weights, but no porting and a different contour than anything currently available. Best deer getting revolver I've ever had. The same in .41 Magnum would be even better!

Would like to have another just for launching lead projectiles.

Understandably, not everyone likes a front heavy revolver, but I find it's easier to make good shots out to 100 yards whilst standing, which is how I usually hunt. Haven't been in a tree stand in years!
