Been looking at the 637 Airweights... which come 'standard' and in a 'Performance Center' model (about $75 difference)...
Beyond the beautiful wood grips, what does this package offer?
Thanks

Any Performance Center gun would be worth $75 differance to me. Which begs the question why the difference in price is so minimal? Photos would be certainly helpful, in that I can't find any info. either.

Just looked, I believe the wood grips are the only difference since it is a Talo exclusive.

I purchased a Model 60 3inch Talo exclusive only to find out the only difference between the standard was the wood grips.

One shop I visited had an NIB 637 for $395...
Checked with Buds for pricing and he has them at $400 standard and $450 for the Performance model...
Just wondering if 'Performance' had any 'internal' mods/upgrades (trigger, hammer, springs, etc.)... or if its just the wood grips.
Maybe I'll just call S&W tomorrow and ask.
Appreciate the input.

Website says "enhanced action". I looked at both yesterday, trigger seems better on the Performance model, although it was pretty darn good on the standard.

Polished cylinder flutes
chrome plated bobbed hammer
hand polished chrome plated trigger
PC tuned action
clip grip
Gunsmoke logo
model 637 / sku 170347
I don't think the grips are wood on the performance center 637, they are synthetic according to literature (2014 catalogue)

There's 2 PC 637s,one is the Wyatt Deep Cover aka Gunsmoke with the bobbed hammer, appearance package, belt clip grip and action job and 1 is the Talo with wood grips and action job. Talo also has a 642 PC with the same features as their 637.

Thanks for the breakdown cd...
The model I'm looking at is the #170349 (std 'outside' hammer)...
Tried calling S&W yesterday, was on hold 10+ minutes, gave up.
But will send an email to them.
Thanks

Got a BNIB Wyatt today in trade. It's got a nice set of wooden grips added to it. Fella put an adhesive ClipDraw on it, as well. It's unfired with box, and all...

I'm not sure if I wanna keep it or sell it. It's purdy, that's for sure. However, I have a 351PD and my wife has an older humpback; we just don't need this gun, but I hate to get rid of something that seem so nice...

Just thought I'd share. Here she is:

One of the smoothest actions I've ever pulled on a revolver.

I'm not a huge fan of all the damned laser etching, but who really cares?

If the 642 and the 637 were sided by side, and $70 didn't matter, well...I'd be all over the 637.

LGS here had all four on display Friday- 642, 637, Gunsmoke, 642 PC, and the 637 PC. I looked at the 642s, and the trigger was distinctly smoother. I think it was worth the $70 difference.

Definately will be making a trip to my lgs this week to check em out, thanks for the info guys
