Thanks for explaining that, handgunner. I had wondered exactly what the deal was with the 356TSW being made obsolete by the rules back then. Not being a competition shooter myself, and who came into shooting later, I didn't know what had happened that resulted in the doing-away-with of such a fantastic round. I thoroughly enjoyed shooting my 3566 Compact with those Federal 147 grain cartridges; you could hear the difference with them over the other rounds. And my brass would really spray from that little bulldog -- usually 10 or 15 feet away.

Yeah, I always thought S&W missed the boat by not pushing it to law enforcement. Would do everything and then some over the .357sig plus added capacity, Oh well.

I was always told 204 units on the SD40, so that would make for a 177 9mms'.

Have a letter in to Roy on my SD 40, so maybe some new data will be forthcoming. We hope.
