I just received a phone survey from the "Mayors Against Firearms" or a similar named some such organization.
I was told that 40 to 50 percent of the firearms sales in the United States do not require a background check.
Note that the number has risen. Although I have always suspected that the first number was never true since the anti-gunners are so willing to lie or obscure the truth.
We did not get beyond the first queston because I politely asked the telephone "questioner", "I have you ever considered the fact that you are being lied to?"
Then I hung up.
