Photo excursion to Tombstone and Bisbee!

photo excursion to tombstone

Thanks for the photos down memory lane. I was stationed in Ft. Huachuca, Az in 1960 and had the opportunity to visit Tombstone and Bisbee during my stay at the fort. It doesn't appear to have changed since I visitied the towns.

Another great story, with great pics to add a little
flesh to the stories.
That was a nice touch about the old Colt and Captain Wheeler.
Hope he could look down and reminisce.
Although I was born in Colorado, I wouldn't live there
now. Maybe after those 9(?) counties secede.

Great american history! Zac from Ghost Adventures did a visit there with his film crew and they found a lot of findings on their voice recording ''EVP''.

Great american history! Zac from Ghost Adventures did a visit there with his film crew and they found a lot of findings on their voice recording ''EVP''.

They stayed in the Julia Lowell room at the Copper Queen Hotel. Julia was a "soiled dove" who killed herself in that room, despondent over a lover who shunned her. Later, during the "roaring twenties," police shot and killed a felon who had holed up in that same room. Men staying in the room have reported encounters with Julia, who often tickles their feet and/or tries to get in bed with them.

My wife and I chose to stay in Julia's room a number of times. Our ghostly experience there has been written up in the hotel book on the ghosts. One morning I awoke and went into the room's bathroom to shave. Looking down at the floor, I realized that I was, in my bare feet, walking in drops of blood. I called to my wife and asked her if she had cut herself. She replied that she hadn't, and I then checked my own feet for any cuts. None. We wiped up the blood with toilet paper, and later observed that the blood on the TP had turned dark brown, as blood will do. There is no question that it was blood, but the source for it was not found. Do I believe in ghosts? After that, I'd have to say that I changed from a doubter to one with an open mind on it.

I just a shiver run up my spine from reading that last post. Great stories and pictures. Thanks for sharing.

The IWW made some noise in Michigan's U.P. too.
I know a guy who bills himself as the last Wobbly in the area.
He's worth avoiding.

The union was also called I Won't Work.

Happy 52nd and thanks for the memories. Ive been to Tombstone, Bisbee and Huachuca--and the area where Fort Courage (TV series for F-Troop set--is. Its been well over 30 years since last visit.
