Seems like all the embedded Photobucket photos in people's posts are showing up blurry and out of focus.

What's up with that? Did Photobucket decide to do something stupid again?

Photobucket inexcusably screwed over all of their customers several years ago. I pulled all of my photos off Photobucket back then and moved them to IMGUR. I think IMGUR is better and is absolutely free. There is an add-on for most browsers which allows you to see any forum images posted from Photobucket long ago.

Let me know how this one shows:

It's not blurred when I view it from other computers.

A few years ago Photobucket wanted $400 per year to continue 3rd party image hosting. This was a few days after I renewed for a full year. I reminded them of their contract and they backed off. As my renewal date approached they threatened again. I suggested they look at how many images I'd posted, how many thousands of views I had and how many I get each week. I then asked them how many scars they wanted out there making bad advertising for photobucket when I closed my account.

Three years later I'm still paying $23 per year and my images have still be showing up. If that's changed I'll close my account.

Yep, picture looks good, BB57. But like BC38, I've noticed the last few days a lot of PB linked images are very blurry. I guess they are playing games again with the free accounts. I dumped them creeps when they tried that $400/year thing with me. I might have sprung for the $23/year deal like you did, but that wasn't offered when they screwed over everyone using them for free. I've since gone to Postimage, which is easier to use and is free.

Did a little sleuthing around and found that PB is now blurring all free accounts that go over 25 MB of bandwidth. Out to get more subscribers I guess.:rolleyes:

I say that if you still have an account there you need to go elsewhere.

Nope, not blurry GA 1911. Do you have a paid account with PB? They sent out the message about watermarking and blurring free accounts around May when you have over 25 MB of bandwidth usage. So either you have a paid for account or you haven't hit the 25 MB limit yet.

Here we go. This was effective September 9th:

"Effective September 9, 2019, each free account will be limited to a total of 25MB of bandwidth for all hosted images (calculated on a rolling 30 day basis)

Who will these changes affect?
All members who host images from their free account.

Why are we charging for excessive hosting?
Please see our blog to better understand why we are making these changes.

Are you Hosting Images?
You are if you have posted an image from your Photobucket account to a blog, forum, social media site or other website using either an HTML or IMG link.

What happens if you go over your limit?
Your hosted images will be watermarked and blurred. To restore hosting privileges, simply purchase either an intermediate or expert plan subscription plan which will not only give you unlimited monthly bandwidth but also larger image storage limits."

Why would anyone want to even think about using PB today, when there are several other photo host sites which are free and provide good service?
