These are Bianchi Lightning Grips on Models 36 and 10-5. The Lightning Grips are rubber and shroud the hammer, sort of a Bodyguard conversion.

It's an interesting concept. They are a little heavy and a lot ugly. Bought them because they are part of revolver accessory history. I've never had a problem with the exposed hammer. I'll probably move the J frame Lightning to a 3" Model 60 and the K Frame to the old grip bucket.

Nice! I, like you, bought a set of J frame (in the brown) and K frame ones because I thought they were nostalgic.

The J Frame ones I did a little custom fit work on and put them on a 360J that I had converted to 9mm. Shrouds the hammer, dampens the recoil of the 9mm a little and still works from the pocket.

I like them. I have them on a M36 factory nickel, I think they look cool and are very comfortable for me.

Those turn a Model 36 into what is effectively a Model 49. Rather cool.

A few years back I turned down the opportunity to buy a Model 60 that was fitted with a pair of those "grips." It would have been nice to have as a pocket gun, but the guy also had a Model of 1953 .22/32 Kit Gun that I wanted and I could only afford to buy one of them. I'm not unhappy about the choice I made!
