Just picked up a shield with the rebate and I'm now hunting for a holster. I'm burnt out with all the research I've done so I'm going to leave it up to you. I can tell you that I currently use a Stealthgear for a VP9 and am happy with it. I also greatly prefer two clips to a single clip. I've mostly focused on Stealthgear, Alien Gear and N82.

What say you!?

I like the Alien Gear myself. Great quality at a good price. I visited their booth at the NRA show and they have a new model coming out soon.

THere are numerous and extensive threads on holsters for the shield. Everyone has an opinion and many disagree with each other. Read and evaluate their thoughts, but remember picking a Holster is subjective and personal. No one can tell you're what is best for you. It's why so many around here have a drawer full of them

Did they say when? I'd hate to buy the 3.0 only to have a new one released a month later.

Actually, I think the 3.0 was what they were showing. I didn't get a chance to try it, crowded, but it looked really nice. You can always shoot them an email, they respond right away.

Not sure anyone can answer that for you as we have no idea how you carry IWB. Appendix? 3 oclock? 5 oclock? small of back?

Are you looking for leather, kydex, combination of both?

Two many possible answers and as one below stated it all comes down to what is comfortable for you and meets your statndard for a IWB holster. Lots of great ones on the market and lots of dogs also.......

Asking the forum to pick your holster is like asking the forum to pick my EDC weapon.....8,000 members and 7,000 different answers......

But, I do have a drawer full of shield holsters that did not work for me and I will sell them to you for $25.00 each.

Check out the Garret Industries (G.I. Holsters) Silent Thunder IWB. Silent Thunder IWB

I sure like mine. Adjustable cant makes it pretty easy to customize as far as position too.

Good point - I typically carry at around 4:30. Material doesn't matter. Are any of the holsters I originally mentioned in your drawer? :)

I appreciate the input but I've never been a fan of single clip holsters. I always feel that the weapon is much more secure with a double hook.

Everyone will have a different option. I tried AG, didn't like it. Fit fine, comfortable but gun sat way too high even with the clips on the highest holes. Also it didn't hold the gun to my body as well as other holsters did. Went back to Falcons King Tuck

Been carrying my Shield in an N82 single clip holster. Very secure and never came loose at all. I even use it with gym shorts every morning while walking the dogs. Cinch the drawstring up good and snug and insert the holster. Never once had it come loose.

I also like the fact that it completely isolates the gun from your skin. Otherwise the grip will rub me raw after several hours of carrying. As others have said, it's totally personal preference.

Another vote for the Alien Gear, I have the 3.0 version- best IWB holster I have used. Great company to deal with as well, I ordered last holster from them for my Shield 45 on 4/14 - got it in mail on 4/17.

I have a bladetech that i picked up for my shield and really like it. It has the ability to be reconfigured to be an iwb or owb holster. You just have to change out the belt loops which are provided. It is kydex and has a tension adjustment screw so you can dial in the amount of retention you like.

Does anyone here use an IWB holster where you can tuck your shirt in your pants, over the firearm? What brand and how concealing is it?
