It's my favorite time of the year again. MLB playoffs are in full swing. So, who's your pick? I have been a lifelong Cards fan. My dad raised me and my brother on Cardinals baseball. I can still remember the first game I went to at the old stadium. Now, I'm raising my son on Cardinals baseball.

Okay, since there must always be dissent. While as an adult I have lived in Seattle for over 40 years and am a Mariner fan (and being that ain't easy, my friend), my childhood was in the Bay Area and my heroes were Mays, McCovey and Marichal. The coldest I have ever been at a baseball game was in early May at Candlestick when I was eight. But Mays hit a homer so all was right with the world. So, GIANTS!

The AL teams have too many ex-Mariners for me to choose between them. The Fister trade to Detroit will go down as the second-worst trade in club history, and the hated Yankees have Ibanez and now Ichiro too.
