I have been looking at them for a while and on Sat I went into small gun shop and took one home . Wiped it down oiled it put abot 100 rounds of win and 30 gold dots down the tube with no problems . I didnt need another 9 have Glocks Sigs Beretta but for the money I think the SD will catch on

I got an SD9 last week too. I have the sigma and a glock 19

This is a nice gun.

Comparing the sigma and the SD9 trigger? The SD 9 'feels' a little smoother; I'd say it more closely feels like my Glock 19 with the NYC trigger.

Oh, and the SD and Sigma 9VE magazines are interchangeable too! ;)

Regards,

Mike

can you post a pic of the sear housing (set up)

is it the same set up as the sigma? thanks

Congrats! I have been eyeballing one for a bit. How much are they going for now? I didn't price them at the gun show in Jan.

I am also interested in whether or not there were any design changes in the SD9 sear block vs the 9VE. It would be nice if someone could post a photo of the sear and sear block of the SD9.

I went to a gun show on Sat and looked at several SD9s and really didn't see a hundred bucks worth of improvements over the Sigma. It was crowded so I didn't get to spend much time looking at them.

There are posted pics of the difference. Sear block is one piece with no cam. Trigger is noticeably lighter. Standard front rail and front night sight. Better texture on the grip.

Thanks for the link to the photos.

From what little I could make out on the sear, it looks VERY much like the Glock sear. Of course, I couldn't be sure as we only see one angle. That little bit of change might make the difference in the trigger pull, plus it seems that sear is further back, meaning the possibility of a partial cock (similar to Glock)?
Just speculating of course. It would sure be nice if someone would post an exploded view of the SD and/or a photo of the sear block assembly removed from the frame. I am sure that it will eventually make its way to the Internet. ;)

Just picked up a SD9 myself, as I was looking for a Glock 19. But after I held both, and saw the BIG price differance $110 bucks, it was a no brainer. Feels great, and will get out and run some ammo through it here in the next couple of days.

I don't think anyone can go wrong with a SD9 or SD40, as it seem's like a win win to me.
