Picked out a 4516dash2 today

The guy had a chief special 40cal and a real clean 4516 dash 2. Itook the 4516 also picked up 4 new on the smith wesson cardboard wrapper 4516 mags for 50 even . Are the dash 2 guns anygood and what year made vcu89xx 4516 dash 2

S&W started manufacturing the 4516-2 in 19????? and discontinued it in 19?????, and the only major chages were ?????, according to The Standard Catalogue of Smith & Wesson.

Now if you display some patience, maybe you'll get the the info you want.

But then again, maybe not.

OR maybe you could search this forum or the Internet to answer your own questions, while we, your humble servants, take a breather.

Dash 2s have all the refinements of the series. They are good pistols. Can't tell you when it was made as I don't have access to that information. You're lucky, I would like to run across a good 4516 for the money. When I had some money

Thanks for the input .I got it for 325.00 Its a nice clean one. He wanted 365 for the chief 40 I should have took it also but didnt .Also found a new in box late serial number model 59for 400 am thinking on this one.

4 new mags for $50 is a GREAT deal. Good price on the 4516 too. Sounds like a nice addition to your collection.

They were fact latest mags still in the wrappers.
