Picked up 9mm shield @ LE price today!

I ve been waiting for my NY LE dealer to get the shields in, he said possibly night sights and 3 mags . He called me today and he got some in stock, but unfortunately no LE package with the nite sites, mags or without the external safety, he said he doesn't know why and doesn't know if smith will come out with one in future since they are so back ordered. I went by today and decided to make a move! Price of $389, he only had a few left and even when I got there someone else was getting one too, I figure if I need night sights in the future I can always put them on, and an extra 3 rd mag I can always buy. As far as the external safety, I tested it, it seems u really need to go out of your way to turn it on, I will just leave it off and ignore it. Doesn't seem if I draw from a holster it will accidentally come on! At that price I made up my mind and got it! Otherwise I will have to wait another indefinite amount of months!

And by the way I sold my Kahr pm9 for the shield cause it kept on jamming!

Not a bad price at all. I'm holding out for the $335 LE Shields on Bud's Police. They are out of stock, but I'll just keep checking and eventually get lucky. That's how I got my 43C.

$389 seems high for the LEO price. I was told somewhere around $340. There is no true LEO package like the full size M&Ps. No three mags, no night sights. Maybe eventually they will but not now.

Well during this time when they are selling 450-525, 389 is decent! Supply and demand , maybe 3 years from now when people are overstocked and can't sell them maybe it be lower but I doubt it.

The LE discount comes from S&W, not from the mom and pop store. If they want to sell LE guns at a discount I would suspect they could. It's just paperwork.

My LGS sells M&P's for $529. With tax that's $160 more than I can buy them for online. I know a lot of people are going to tell me to support my LGS, but I'm not going to. I need money too. I buy some shells there every now and then, and I bought a holster there recently. Yeah I pay more for that stuff too, but not 40% more like their handgun prices.
