Not saying it's not capable, but not designed to be shot for "groups" at 20 yds. Not to mention Hickock45 is a great pistol shooter!

Yeah but he nails the gong at 50 yards with everything![]()
Your not going to find many pistols this small that CAN group good at 20 yds. They are simply not ment to be accurate at that distant. The Shield is a defensive pistol meant to be shot 10yds or less. I practice at 7 yds since that is where most encounters would happen. Anything past that and you probably shouldn't be shooting at someone.
I can hit the poop falling out of a gnats butt at 100 yards with my shield![]()

My wife hasn't shot it yet but shes handled it plenty and I'm confident she will enjoy shooting it.
I guess I shoulda picked one up when they came out in Apr. I seen a pic online when they came out, & thought to myself "That's just an M&P9C, with another 1/2" chopped off the barrel" So, started thinking about buying an LC9 since I was looking for something with a slim profile. Wasn't till a few weeks ago I found out that the Shield was thin, now I can't find 1 anywhere...
I bought a Shield 9mm. for my wife and she likes shooting it. She uses it for an EDC. She started with a LCP, then a LCR in .38spl. She didn't like shooting the LCR and I didn't care all that much for shooting it either. The Shield is great to shoot and that makes practicing so much better. My wife hasn't shot it yet but shes handled it plenty and I'm confident she will enjoy shooting it.
