I picked up a 4 inch 686-5 +. It had some holster wear on the barrel and frame when I bought it, however it didn't appear to have been shot very much.

I paid $586 out the door. Took it home and cleaned it up, polished out the holster marks with 2000 and 1500 grit, then finished with some Mothers.

The 686's look great. Congrats on the new addition. They are all classics, without the lock.

I'm looking for one... saving up for it. Had one back in the day but foolishly let it get away. I'd like to add some sort of white dot front sight, but there isn't much to quibble about these they way they are. Shooting .38 Specials in them is pleasant, and they handle .357's very well.

You've done very well on your 686's. I am still looking for a 686 pre lock in 4 inch. Seldom seen around here. Thanks for sharing

Liking it. I just had a 4" barrel put on my no dash that originally came with a 6" barrel.
