Traded my straight barrel in. Looks cool. I dont know why S&W didnt make them this way to begin with?? I bet there are alot of dissapointed people out there.....Me being one of them, who bought (2) of the non flash hider models :(

Yep, wish my 15-22 came OE with the flash hider. Hope they didn't hurt you too bad on the trade.

I've found a local machinist whom will thread my barrel for $25.00. I'm pretty sure I'll lose more than that on a trade in.

It does suck that they didn't do this from the get-go!!

I do prefer the barrel with the flash supressor but I'm not sure why.

Ok I lied,it's looks so darn awsome!!!!!!!

They are all nice guns regardless....Congrats.:)

Congrats. Can you post the beginning letters of your serial number? Not the whole thing but the beginning so we can keep track of the known issues.

Also, what color star do you have stamped on your user's manual?

Lastly, was there a difference in price? non flash hider vs flash hider

1. serial number
2.star color
3.price

Maybe this is how they will tell the good ones from the bad ones. :)Does it run ok? I've been thinking about getting one but I want to wait till they all the bugs are out.

Looks good...makes it look complete. I won't be getting rid of mine but I sure like the new design.

I just oredered my 2'nd M&P because I like the look of the flash hider. My dealer says I'll have it on the 22'nd.

Real nice, the way they should have been. Its good that they have the naked barrel for the commie states though.

You guys are lucky, here in New York State we are not allowed to own this rifle with the flash hider/ surpressor, and can only own 10 round magazines for it.

well if i was in your shoes i would move... some of these states laws are nothing but b.s. period....
