Lee Barner and I went to the LGS to look around, I was on the list for SA-35 we talked to the lady that works there for awhile then I asked if I was still on the list for SA-35 she smiled went to the back and handed me this. Got it for $744.00 out the door.

Nice. A local shop says he has two, but he wants 1k each. No thanks. Is that a blued or parkerized finish? Those stocks remind me of Spegel's.

Larry

SA currently catalogs as produced in matte blue only. If I was the production manager at SA and was asked could I make a polished blue version the answer would be "yes" but would suggest only the flats of the slide would be polished. Semi-auto's look good and function well that way. Still pretty labor intensive to do a nice polish job on the slide flats.

They look good in any pictures I've seen but what about in person ...how is the fit & finish ? The MSRP is $699 and I'd be willing to pay the $ 744 you did ...if they are pretty nice ...but not the $1000 plus I see them selling for at many places.

I’m not looking to buy one but agree on not paying over retail for the privilege of owning one. Cars, guns, any toy, no way will I pay over retail and I hesitate to even pay retail.

I actually got a discount on my new 4” Python. I recently walked out on a car dealer, local Mini Cooper dealer, asking new retail on a 1 year old used car plus $2800 add on sticker. No way!

Good for you. Let us know how the range report pans out. I want one but am waiting until the reports of performance come back.

In the spring of 2012, my local VW dealer wanted $3000 over MSRP for the then-new Golf R. On the day after Thanksgiving, I bought my Golf R for about $2000 under the MSRP.

It always costs more to be the first one on your block to have a new whatever...

I mentioned I refuse to pay over maroon and hesitate to pay that much. The last 7 cars I’ve bought I’ve negotiated the price to $500 over actual dealer invoice. There are too many dealers that will take the offer to be paying high prices.

I searched dealers recently for a new Nini. Like all cars they’re in short supply. It’s nearly impossible to find what you’re looking for much less get a discount. But I started looking in areas my wife and I would like to vacation and I came on one that had no add on sticker and reasonable documentation fee. Of course we have to order it and it’ll take 4-6 months to get it but it’ll be exactly what we want. And by buying from that dealer we save enough to buy tickets and fly out and pick it up plus pay for a couple of days of vacation. We’re just going to make a month long vacation out of the trip.

OP said $744 was the OTD price. The state sales tax in TN is 7%. So, OP got it at MSRP.

How does the SA work with the "sling shot" method to chamber a round.? The Belgian HPs, as a rule, don't like it. :)
