Here are a couple of pictures of my newly aquired 10-8. This is my first Smith Revolver (I was always a Ruger guy but have been converted).
It is hard to get a picture without reflections from the great blueing on a Smith. Any spots that are bright are the light; the blueing is near perfect on this gun. It REALLY looks unfired since the factory but was not sold to me that way.
I answered my own question from my other post; the '5D' prefix of the serial number is correct for 1979 issue.
Someone had varnished the grips (who would?) so I spent some time with the steel wool to return the grips to their original beauty!
As I said earlier, I had to pay $325 out the door (with no box) for this gun but it is worth it to me.
