Just thought I would share some pictures of the newest addition to the family, her name is Deliah and she weighted in at 2lbs 7 ozs.

Please feel free to share pictures of any new weapons or even the ones collecting dust in the safe. Everybody likes looking at pictures.

And I'm aware of the fact I need to update cameras, it def doesn't do the gun justice. I'm still using some 5 yr old 2 megapix dealy.

Well I don't think we are related but you never know....

She/yours has a nice set of grips I might add.

Thank you on the grip compliment. I'm a huge fan of the stainless fluted barrel. I wish S&W still sold them new. I would love to see a stainless fluted with the wooden grips. If anyone has one please post a picture of that.

Well I know this isn't a 22a or a S&W or even a pistol, but it does have a pistol grip. I just thought I'd post a picture of another member of the family. Everybody likes pictures.

This is a .410 mossberg cruiser with a fold over stock.

so do you guys have problems loading magazines in your 22's? My wooden grips extend quite a bit past the magazine well and it makes it difficult seating the magazines. I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem.

If you can see whats hanging up you probably can file or sand it down to fit better.

Fired over 500 rounds today of old and odd brands without a single misfire or hang up.
I've read a few posts of the 22A's being picky about what it likes, mine appears to not have any problem with that.
Sweet gun, I like it, good groups too.

I have one of these, shoots great. I purchased it so I could take my kids to the range and get them use to shooting a semi auto. Plus the plinker ammo is cheap. They shoot for what seems like hours, and can go through a brick in no time. Beats buying .38, 9mm or .40's

Rooster

Here's one of my other recent purchases, also a sweet shooter. Ruger super Blackhawk .44mag

That is a nice looking weapon, I too have a ruger revolver that is a nice shot, although I don't shoot with it much anymore. They are some nice looking grips on that one .66cal.

I was in a local shop buying a new holster for my 4043 today and asked what they had as far as .22's since I've been wanting one for cheap range practice. They're selling the .22a's for $229.00 NIB. Is this a good price for one of these? If so I'll likely jump on one as soon as they get more in ( the one they showed me was already sold but they should have more in stock in a few days).

The one I looked at looks similar to the one .66cal. posted pics of. It sounded like a pretty fair price to me too so I'll likely be adding one to my collection in the near future. I often go to the range with one of my sisters and she has a walther p22 in her collection. We always shoot the heck outta that one since it's dirt cheap to shoot compared to our high cal. handguns.

The S&W 22A is a nice shooter, but don't forget to shop for the ruger 22. I know this is a S&W forum, but the ruger 22 is a reliable and fun target pistol.

I've read good things about the ruger mark II as well but have yet to find any local shops selling them. I have found plenty of them online but by the time I pay shipping and FFL fees .... I think the 22a is going to be my choice. I'm just out for a fairly accurate and trouble free .22 to have fun with. It's not like I'm going to be staking my life on one of these.

Makes sense to me, either way you will get a great target pistol. The only non-S&W pistol I have is a MKII 22/45 and it hasn't let me down at the range yet. Have fun with your new pistol.

I bought my Christmas present today. I opted for the 22A. It has a nice feel in the hand and I think I'll be quite happy with it. I plan on going to the range tomorrow to try it out.
S&W 4043 for the big ones ....... S&W 22A for the little ones and a rossi 38 spl. revolver for the in between ones.

Keep us posted on how the range went with the new 22a.

I will just as soon as I get to go. The range I was planning on going to yesterday is an outdoor range and the weather turned downright nasty ( freezing rain and all that good stuff ). I'm hoping the weather will be better Friday since I'm really itching to try the new addition out. I have limited access to a private indoor range which I might be able to get into this weekend. The guy that taught my CCW class has his own indoor range. He also teaches advanced self defense courses and I practice with him regularly so he does allow me to use his range when it's convenient.

I think the 22A is one of the most overlooked and best deal guns out there. Mine eats Wallyworld bulk Federal ammo like nobody's business. I also put a cheap red dot on it and it is incredibly accurate. I saw one for sale on Gunbroker last week that had a little safe rash and I could have bought it for $125, would have grabbed it in a second if I didn't already own one. Have fun with yours, love those grips by the way, Shoo

I finally got some range time with my 22A today. I'm totally happy with it. It shoots tight groups at 25 yds. and I had 1 jam out of about 300 rounds ( wally federal bulk ammo )which happened on the first or second clip ........ maybe it just needed to get limbered up since it never jammed again after that. I had a blast ( no pun intended ) shooting my 22A and would recommend one to anyone looking for an accurate, reliable .22 pistol to have fun with.
