I finally broke the camera out. The attached pictures are of the Remora 5ART-SS-Leather. The 5ART is the recommended holster for the Shield. The SS (sweat shield) and leather lining were two options I paid extra for. There is a long thread on this topic with a lot of confusion regarding model numbers for the Shield before Remora finally assigned the right number.

I've also included some pictures of my regular IWB holster from Winthrop.

I am eagerly awaiting my Remora 5 ART SS Leather Tuckable. I have a non-tuckable for my 9c and love it. Can't wait to get this one for my Shield.

I ordered and received the 6ART (that was the size they said fit the Shield back in April) in 3 configurations - two with tuck option. I have to say, I like the holster (it's on me right now and every day - all day) but did not like the tuck option. I was able to cut it off without ruining the rest of the holster. I like the regular free one they gave for awhile the best in winter and the full sweat shield otherwise. Nothing to compare to until the Crossbreed supertuck finally gets shipped. Good luck!

not sure I understand about this "free" one?

Also, I looked at the tuck options and they look kind of uncomfortable? But I think -- in my mind anyway -- that would go for any tuckable holster.

When I ordered mine on 4-5-2013, they had a deal whereby they shipped a standard, no frills holster of the same size as what you ordered. I ordered a 6ART with tuck option and sweat shield. They shipped a 6ART with it for free. It was advertised on their website.

I found the tuck "flap" always in the way when readjusting and removing. I'm sure it works for folks but just didn't for me. I was always a tuck the shirt in kind of guy before I started carrying. It's just easier for me now to have the shirt (mostly t-shirts) out now. It was easy to razor blade cut the stitching between the tuck flap and the holster. It's been perfect since for me.

It's good you bought the 5ART. My rear sight now snags on the way out of the holster so I had to stuff some fabric down to the bottom - enough to position the Shield just right again. Good luck!

I have one from another company that's similar but is now so broken in when I draw the holster collapses making re-holstering a major pain.

Does this one collapse when it's empty?

Now see I don't understand because the 5MPART is the model they list on their website specifically mentioning the Shield so what is the difference vs. the 5ART.

The 5ART is mentioned as PX4 sc ad XD-sc, of course I don't think it matters a whole lot because I carry my Shield in a Remora sized for the Glock 23 and it works fine, I use the same holster for both guns but it is time to order a Shield specific remora I don't want to miss out on the good deal they have going right now like I did last time when it was 30% off.

The 5MPART is definitely a new model number -- it was NOT on their list 5 months ago. I think Remora encountered so many confused customers over the correct model of the Shield (6ART vs 5ART, etc.) that they finally decided to deal with the issue.

They are running an offer for 25% off plus a free mag holder so I decided to pick one up. I have a Incog IWB from G-Code on order but need something to tide me over until then.

Guess I know which holster I am ordering now

+1

I just ordered the 5MPART with leather lining and sweat shield.

$34.88 shipped plus a free mag holder not bad. I still want a regular type of holster preferably leather OWB but all my favorite brands/model don't make a Shield holster yet.

I didn't see the 5art months ago when I bought the 6art but the 6 works great for me, some kind of crazy material that my shield never moves around no matter what I'm doing. great holster.
