Here's one I found a month or so ago. One of about 200 or so, only available to the troopers. This one is engraved with the badge number. 1989 vintage. Enjoy.
I don't own a commemorative but my favorite LEO gun is this 19-4 which lettered as 1 of 50 shipped to the U.S. Dept. of State in early 1980 following the Iran hostage crisis.
Great looking group of guns that all recognize and commemorate a certain period of law enforcement or "Americana." There are several yet to be seen and I hope some others can post some pictures....
Muley Gil.... I don't know if you've noticed but your Texas Wagon Train Commemorative may have gotten tangled up in the spokes of the wagon -- for a couple hundred miles... Darn it!! Looks like that may have knocked all the gold inlays off....
Doc44 --- What can I say. If your collection ever comes up missing I'll probably be the prime suspect. A truly unimaginable collection of S&W rarity, uniqueness and always photographed and displayed in such good taste...
All these guns are beautiful and worthy of the pride I'm sure all of you have in them....
I've added a picture of a consecutively numbered pair of 25-3's in my collection....
TDC...Your collection has some great guns in it too!! A photo of a S&W 125th Anniversary 25-3 that was Class B-engraved by Paul Piquette (he also "enhanced" the logo on the side plate). The revolver was done for Louis Fontana, a S&W employee, who also had a 4 1/2-inch barrel made and engraved to match.
