Must be a tough neighborhood to keep a S&W in the kitchen.:D

I LOVE pineapple. It is probably my all-time favorite fruit.
HOWEVER I don't want any fruit on my pizza. Not even pineapple.
OK, so technically I know that a tomato is a fruit, and I do like a hearty marinara sauce on my pizza, but any other kind of fruit on pizza is a complete turnoff for me.
I'll eat a slice or two of Canadian bacon and pineapple (never understood how that got labeled a "Hawaiian" pizza), but ONLY if there are no other alternatives. Heck, I'll even choose a slice of vegitarian pizza over a fruit pizza.
Pineapple Hawaiian pizza is better than nothing I guess. It's at least a little bit better than going hungry. ;)

Went food shopping today. Always keep some frozen pizza around for when I'm feeling lazy. Sadly that's getting more frequent. Did not see one brand of pizza with pineapple. Also did not see one pie with an assortment of seafood parts as a topping.

It might suggest that these toppings don't freeze well. I'd rather think that there's no market to make these oddities in mass. If I'm feeling daring I'll buy a plain pizza and adorn it with normal people foods like mushrooms, sliced tomatos, sausage or jalapenos.

I did come away with a DiGiorno "Double Bacon" pizza. Worse case scenario I can toss the fake bacon and still enjoy the pizza.

Back "in the day" Pizza Haven was one of the better local pizza chains here on the west coast, and they had a shrimp and green pepper pie on their regular menu. That was one of my all time favorites.

Unfortunately, Pizza Haven and Godfathers Pizza were two of the best west coast pizza chains that didn't "make it".

AFAIK they both went out of business, and all we have left here are Pizza Hut, Little Caesars, and Dominoes.

Though there's always Papa Murphie's take & bake, and we still have a couple of decent local chains to choose from here in eastern WA....

I’ve enjoyed Hawaiian pizza since I first discovered it at the dominoes on Camp LeJeune in the very early 90’s. Local brewery has a crying Hawaiian with hot honey on it. We get it with chicken instead of ham due to my wife’s meat allergies.

What are you gourmet’s using for a crust? I’d love to make a lower sodium pizza but those don’t look like Boboli or Chef boy Ardee crust.
Homemade...

I delegate the dough to Mrs Chad. She uses OO Pizza flour (recipe's on the bag) and adds sourdough starter that we keep in the fridge. I have to give her several days notice, because she needs to wake up the starter and feed it. She uses about half the starter and the remainder goes back in the fridge to live on. We let the dough rise after it's mixed, it gets kneaded a second time and then it sits covered for 4-6 hours.

If you don't want to go to all that trouble, you can buy premade dough from a local pizzeria. Some grocery stores also sell it. Homemade takes some time, but it's worth the effort.

You'll get best results with a pizza stone and an oven that can get up to 550 degrees. I used a traditional stone for years, but it eventually cracked. I replaced it with a Lodge cast iron pizza pan that should last forever! They make several sizes and bigger is better, but you want to measure your oven to make sure it will fit.

Pineapple on pizza is like catsup on a hotdog...sorry. I used to feed the Union guys pizza and beer when they helped doing handouts during the political season, or putting signs in the yard, etc. I made an observation that if I ordered a dozen pizzas from a favorite joint, I would usually order three pepperoni and cheese, three Italian sausage, mushroom and cheese, three Italian sausage, peppers and onions, two plain cheese with sliced tomatoes, Provolone and Basil and one Pineapple and Canadian Bacon...if there was any pizza left when I was cleaning up nine times out of ten it would be Canadian Bacon and Pineapple. But if you don't order at least one the people that eat that stuff are the loudest complainers...I think there is a correlation here but I can't quite put my finger on it.

We have a great family owned pizza parlor in our town. The great thing about it is I can go in and order whatever I want on my pizza and they cook it for me. I don't really care what the folks at the next table do or do not order on theirs.

Back in the late 80s, in Tokyo, my 9 or 10 YO son had a pal sleep over at my apartment.

After they'd gone to bed, about 11:00 PM or so, the doorbell rang. I opened the door and there was a pizza delivery man with a pizza. He said, "Here ya go, sir!"

I said, "I didn't order a pizza."

He said, "Well...It's a pretty good pizza...."

I said, "Hmmm....Well, what kinda pizza is it?"

He said, "Ham and pineapple."

I said, "Ham and pineapple?!"

He said, "Yes! You should try it! It's really good!"

I said, "Well.... Okay."

So I paid the guy, took the pizza, and checked it out. It was pretty good!

In the morning, I gave what was left to my son and his buddy for breakfast.

Turned out, I learned eventually, that another buddy of theirs had ordered it as a prank.
