Pistol caliber carbine

MP5.

We just have to get the next Congress to rescind the 1986 ban.

I contacted Smith and Wesson in May of last year about a pistol caliber carbine built on the M&P platform. I suppose if enough requests are made someone may listen.

Attached is the reply I received.

At lease you got a better reply from S&W than I did. I'm thinking of writing one of the Board of Director. Do you think it would help?

Pistol carbines have their place, I know that my Beretta CX4 9mm carbine and Beretta 92FS make for a great, fun to shoot combination!

And my CMMG MK9LE with a Slidefire stock is just pure fun!

Steven,
We have certainly ran that through the mill, but at this time we do not know of when anything will come to light with it. We would like to break into that market but right now we are only offering the Colt design mags. Please let me know if you have any other questions and I will be happy to help.

M1 Carbine without the cutout for a sling stock and leave the M1 designation off so we can buy it in NJ.

Ruger has kind of already done this with their Police Carbine in 9mm and .40 S&W. I have a PC4 and think it's a fine pistol caliber carbine but apparently the sales were not brisk enough for Ruger so they discontinued production a few years back.
