Pistol Caliber Carbine

This seems to be the latest craze. A lot of companies build quality (and some not so quality) PCC guns.

I wonder if S&W has one under development?

Not that they'll tell us until they make a formal announcement, but I thought it interesting that they don't have one yet.

It would be easy for them to make one (think M & P lower attached to a carbine-length upper), but perhaps the demand is not there. Or the 1940 9 mm Light Rifle is scaring them away .
