Pistol rack?

I use one of those coated wire stand types that holds 7 or 8 sort of standing up. Takes up less space than just laying them flat. Dillon sells some, can't remember where I got mine. I always thought those door hangers looked interesting but I don't own one.

There is a member on the Colt Forum that makes the wire coated racks in a few different sizes. He has a facebook page called "Thebestgunrack". I don't own one or know anything about the quality, just passing along the link.

I purchased the wooden shelf racks that went with the safe I purchased.
They hold 6 handguns each and they take a shelf. The rest I keep stored in the boxes they came in on the shelf above my long guns.
Right now I have all I can handle! ;)
If I buy anything else I’ll go back to the safe manufacturer again.

I'm running into the same problem, I've put some on the barrel rack for long guns, tucked between the barrels and the outside wall. My problem is that I have a small safe, where long guns go on the bottom on three sides and there's one shelf above, not even enough room for a drawer. I need a bigger safe with more organization choices.

I bought a big enough Liberty but I tend to have more short than long guns.
I like the posted ideas. Thank you
The New Year and annual clean for all is coming soon.

Cabela's Amazon and a host of others do as well; most looks something like this:

I put my guns in silicone socks first
I just bought two of these:

Actually, since the shelves in my old safe were deep but not high, I just put the handguns in silicon gun socks or similar and stood them up next to each other. No wasted air space. Especially because when the guns were angled in muzzle first there was a huge space created by the triangular shapes and a number of guns fit in flat in that space. I don't know how many guns I stored that way but it was quite a few dozen.

Now, if I wanted one from the back row I had to move a lot of guns so I kept a shelf inventory so I knew where every gun was and each could be located relatively quickly.

I use these made by manaboutracks.com

He makes different styles like single level or tiered and for different numbers of handguns. Mine is for 14 and fills the top shelf of my safe nicely.

I use hangers made by Gun Storage Solutions, sold by Dean Safe among others.

I do as well. There is a big difference between quality of these wire hangers. The "firmness" or "sturdiness" for lack of a better term, for the wire. The thickness of coating, a cap on the end of the wires. There are smallish diameter ones that I put semi-autos and K-frames on...and thicker ones that I put .44 and .45 cal on.

Lots of them on eBay. Spend the couple of bucks and get good ones.

I use the wire racks, but as most of my guns are collector type grade I also put them in silicon socks in case I bang them on one another while taking them in and out.
