About a yr ago I decided I needed a Ruger 77/44. I already have the original 44 carbine. I was tempted to buy one from a member here a while back but it had a synthetic stock and I really wanted walnut. Prices are crazy on these rifles. One day 4 brand new ones popped up on GB with a set price. I bought 2 and I'm giving one to my son next month when he graduates from OSI Academy. He loves suppressors and these rifles now come treaded. They are stainless/synthetic so I'm on the hunt for a walnut stock. I've read about all the accuracy issues and was prepared to shim bolt and replace triggers. HOWEVER, I took it out back and couldn't be happier with the accuracy. Using Winchester White Box 240 JSP. I put a nice compact Vortex 2-7x32 on it. Pics are 50 yds bit high. 100yds right on and then 150 a bit low on the 50 yd target. My last 4 were ringing 8" steel at 150yds. This gun may get more woods time than I planned this fall.EDIT……. can a moderator turn photos right side up? Thank you
