My model 27-2 with 5" barrel has a serial # N162006 any idea of the date of manufacture? Also does anyone know what 514 means for special features?

According to the SCSW it dates from 1973.

I am not sure what you mean by the reference to 514.

Is that a marking inside the crane?

hmmm - well someone more knowledgable than me (Pretty much everyone) will have an idea what that would be.

Could be Target Hammer and Target Trigger or Red Ramp front sight.
