please help dating a K22

looked at a 6" K22 in good condition, some wear on the bluing nice diamond magnas with serial number on the grip 1072xx price $500 cannot tell what year it was made, and price? Thanks for any info!

What is the serial number on the butt of the frame? It may include a letter such as a "K". If it is K1072XX then it is likely 1950 or so and should be a 5 screw frame with no model number marked in the frame where the cylinder opens. In some cases the grips have been changed, so it is important to identify the serial number on the grip frame.

Steve, thanks, there was no k prefix, simply 1072xx on the bottom of the butt frame

Can you post a photo? I don't think that serial number fits a K-22.
