Welcome back to the Forum! Your Model 29-2 (N310247) was manufactured in 1975-76, but the s/n you listed for the 65-2 (69733) seems wrong. The s/n is probably 2D69733, and that jives with a 1977 manufacture date. The 65-2 was introduced in 1977 and continued until the 65-3 was released in 1982. Your 4" heavy barrel should have a square butt with checkered walnut service stocks, the barrel is pinned and the cylinder holes recessed. These revolvers were popular with several LE departments (e.g. Mass. State Police, Tampa PD, etc.). Hope this helps. Enjoy!
