The Political recorded phone calls and the totally inappropriate negative TV ads. Caller ID, ID's them as unknown, unknown but I still have to clear the answering machine. They found my cell phone also.

The TV ads are the worst I have ever seen, not one of them is positive or states why anyone should vote for that person.

How do these bozos get a free pass to avoid the Do Not call list, National and State? and how can they get away with ads that are clips and edits to make down right lies about other candidates.

No wonder people do not vote.

I already sent by absentee ballot in, so leave me alone!

Thank you, have a nice day and I disapprove of this message.

PUSH HERE FOR POLITICAL MESSAGE

One of the candidates running for Governor in my state had so many negative tv ads for him, I was actually shocked when I saw a positive ad. I guess negative press is still press. I am also tired of the "it could have just one moment of your time to take this short survey--which is 30 questions long" when I am eating dinner.

I have become burned out on the political process over the past few years. Neither side has any character or integrity. All I have heard lately are nasty unfounded allegations. Worse, no one says what they stand for. It is hard to make an intelligent decison.

We (wife and I) recently made a decision, to discontinue our home (land line) phone. The silence is deafening. Something to think about.

agreed ... whats worse is they whatever party is slinging mud at the other seems to only imply that they might do better.

I believe political calls are specifically exempted from the requirements of the do not call legislation. Maybe it's time to change that too.

9 More days and they'll quiet down for a spell. Although professional politicians never seem to be off the "trail" for long. Joe

Not 10 minutes prior to reading this, I got another political robocall. I hate telephones! If it weren't for a possible family emergency I wouldn't have one. These political calls are especially annoying, because there's no one on the other end that I can scream at and tell them I already voted, and NOT for them! Not to mention they call at suppertime. And then there's the mailbox full of junk from the same politicians that are calling. The same flyers from the same candidates every day. Here's another vote for....Leave me alone too!

If you vote for me I will guarantee that these needless robo calls will cease immediately if not sooner!!!! :D

When I'm at home and get a call from an 800#, or an "out of area" call, I just accept the call and lay the phone down until they hang up. That way I don't get a message, and maybe I'm costing them a few pennies by answering.

"Hello, this is Wayne LaPierre with the NRA..."

Ol' Wayne has been running neck and neck with the politicians in terms of number of calls during the last week.

the problem with that is that they are political calls .. those pennies burned are ultimately our own:(

I don't like the calls either - but I do make some of them working on what I believe. BUT - this is one of the most important elections you may ever have a chance to vote in - DO NOT BLOW IT BY NOT VOTING!!!!!!!!!

Gosh, I kind of feel IMPORTANT lately, for folks who normally wouldn't give me the time of day are calling my house.

I've PERSONALLY received messages from both Newt AND Barak Hussein O-Whatzz-ziz-name, as well as a lot of others.

I feel SO IMPORTANT!!! lol

I'm betting even the robo-voices are getting PO'd calling my house. My listed number has a fax on it. Eat high pitched squeal, you charlatans.:D

As for the TV ads, this is the price of universal suffrage, today's pace of life and the complexity of the modern world. Those having a life and average intelligence only have time to absorb "Joe Otherparty is a shmuck, so vote for Fred Thisparty". The detail of how either of them would actually go about their business is too much for a 90 second ad.

One of the candidates here urged the public to go view his plans on his website as he said it is impossible to present them in a TV debate given the time and debate rules. I believe him. However, those that put their plans on webpages can usually be declared delusional within five minutes of careful study once you have determined the real position of the appropriate tax base.

My current status in the US means that I am not eligible to vote. That said, looking at the choices presented to many of you, I would not describe myself as jealous. I was recently asked if I believed in the democratic process. I replied that I would like too, but many of the folk involved make it hard to give my unreserved support.
