Just a FYI, I have one of these and it can be a real bear to load since it doesn't a button to relieve the spring tension while loading.

There is a tool for that , I never had one did not keep my 2 P T mags long at all after a couple up times they started to have problems so I got rid of them.

Has anybody tried these? are they reliable? I might have to pick up a few for the price.

I initially had problems with a couple I ordered. I spoke with the owner, and he suggested I load these and leave them loaded for a couple days when new. I followed the advice and loaded then on an open bolt as suggested also. I have not had problems with them since as long as I follow this routine. In fact I recently ordered 10 from Midway after they put them on a fire sale for about 10.00 each. I thought this was a really good deal until I purchased 10 more from buds for less than 7.00 each including the load assist tool with each one.

In my experience they require more initial attention than the original mags, but have proven more durable as my original mags have begun to have feeding issues after many rounds, while the plinkers are relatively problem free. Good luck, and I hope it works for you.

I ordered several of the 6.99 mags a few weeks ago from another supplier, they worked great. I use a metal bbq skewer to depress the spring but i can load them nearly full by hand. They are difficult but not so bad I wouldnt buy them at 7.00 each.

I agree with southcoast, these are good mags if you load them and leave them for a day or so. I had some hiccups when I bought one and used it the same day. I read reviews and heard the advise of loading them and leaving them; this was no problem as I leave all my mags loaded. The next range trip: no issues.

I've used these with bump fire stocks with flawless results as well, so I'd say these are good to go.

The load tool is nice to have and almost needed if you want to get those last 2-3 rounds in without beating your thumbs up. If these com with the tool I'd say jump on them, but if not make it a point of getting one before too long.

Please explain what " loaded them on an open bolt" means ?

Pull the charging handle back to the locked position and insert the magazine prior to releasing the charging handle forward which loads the first round into the chamber.

To bad I live in Ohio, not legal here mad:
They are legal in Ohio. Unfortunately not all sellers are aware of that. Only centerfire was limited to 30 rds. With the HB234 passing, effective last March 23, 2015, I believe the 30 rd limit for centerfire has been removed. You can now hunt also with noise suppresors.
