Just a FYI, I have one of these and it can be a real bear to load since it doesn't a button to relieve the spring tension while loading.
I initially had problems with a couple I ordered. I spoke with the owner, and he suggested I load these and leave them loaded for a couple days when new. I followed the advice and loaded then on an open bolt as suggested also. I have not had problems with them since as long as I follow this routine. In fact I recently ordered 10 from Midway after they put them on a fire sale for about 10.00 each. I thought this was a really good deal until I purchased 10 more from buds for less than 7.00 each including the load assist tool with each one.Has anybody tried these? are they reliable? I might have to pick up a few for the price.

In my experience they require more initial attention than the original mags, but have proven more durable as my original mags have begun to have feeding issues after many rounds, while the plinkers are relatively problem free. Good luck, and I hope it works for you.
Please explain what " loaded them on an open bolt" means ?
Pull the charging handle all the way back until it locks in the open position. Insert your loaded magazine prior to releasing the bolt catch. Once the magazine is inserted, then release your bolt catch which loads your first round into the chamber.
They are legal in Ohio. Unfortunately not all sellers are aware of that. Only centerfire was limited to 30 rds. With the HB234 passing, effective last March 23, 2015, I believe the 30 rd limit for centerfire has been removed. You can now hunt also with noise suppresors. To bad I live in Ohio, not legal here mad:
I forgot about the laws changes last month, I have a suppressor ready to go to Spencer. Got my hunting license online yesterday, can't wait!!They are legal in Ohio.
