Pocket 9 vs .380?

Although have a Glock G43, my main EDC up until few weeks ago was a Centennial model J frame (M642) but recently I've acquired and carry a Sig P365 about 1/3 the time and seems to work ok. The Glock appears to be a small amount larger and with about half the mag capacity as Sig.
Other than that, that's pretty much my carry rotation except on occasion, a S&W 380 Bodyguard for deep concealment.
So with that, I lean toward the 9x19 (and the .38 Spec.) more than the Kurz.
Not to hijack, but in discussing 9mm versus 380, has anyone tried swapping the Ruger LC9 conversion kit upper (barrel, slide, mag) for the LC380? I didn't know they made one until recently.

The big drawback to 380 ACP is the round itself. It's projectile lacks sectional density, meaning lower penetration. I would carry solids if using 380 ACP. The second big problem with 380ACP is the fact that most of the guns for 380ACP are straight blow back operation, rather than having some form of locking chamber as the 9mm does. I prefer 9mm in all ways to 380ACP. Back in the old days the 9mm was considered marginal at best for defensive work. It has not really changed. It's still marginal. Shot placement is #1. 380ACP is even less effective. I like the new single stack 9mm guns that carry 10+ rounds. More ammo is usually a good thing.

I chose 9mm, and one that's probably the smallest in that caliber and similar in size to a lot of .380s: the Kahr CM9.

It carries beautifully in a N82Tactical IWB holster or in a Desantis pocket holster, depending on mode of dress. I love the trigger.

As a bonus, they seem to be getting more affordable. I'd replace mine in a heartbeat if necessary.

Nothing wrong with the Kahr CM9 (I have one), but when compared to the Sig P365 in 9mm, the 365 is a clear winner.

Prior to purchasing my Sig P365, I had really debated about purchasing it or a new Bodyguard 2.0. I held the BG 2.0 for the first time today. Really glad I settled on the Sig P365. Was thinking that I should have purchased the Sig P365X(long grip, short slide) but I went with the regular P365 and magazine extensions. Also purchased another 10rd mag with the flat base. It gives me much more versatility. By inserting the mag with the flat base I can more conveniently pocket carry.

I've been reading up on and watching a lot of videos and reviews of the shield 2.0 and it's ergonomically superior to a lot of guns and that's size category.

I'd take the 380 with more rounds for the same reasons the army went from the 308 to the 223.
