Pocket Concealment Systems J Frame Holster

I just ordered the subject holster Pocket Concealment Systems, Inc.: Main Catalogue Page for my bodyguard from Craig at Lightning Arms Sports; who is a super great guy and offers SUPERB service. Anyone out in Smith and Wesson land have any experience with one of these holsters? The maker offers several designs based not only on the weapon to be carried but the style of pants the weapon will be carried in. I ordered the French Hook so that the revolver will be carried at a cant to prevent accidentally dropping the revolver when seated . These look like a quality product and Craig usually only carries top line merchandise so I am eager to try one out. I ordered mine for a back-up so it will go in my weak hand pocket.

Pretty Nice looking Holster for $50 IMO..
I have a Kramer Pocket that's Top Of The Line but most of Time use an Uncle Mikes IWB with the clip removed with an airweight because of it's lack of bulk & weight..
Get us some pics of that holster when it arrives..

+1 on Uncle Mike's pocket holsters. They are cheap and effective. I have also used Desantis Nemesis holsters with my J-Frame and they work well too. I've found these work well because they're a little softer in the pocket. Have also used Mika's holsters for my J-Frame, they are nice too.

Wonder how well it will stay in the pocket when you draw? Please let us know. I have a Mika for my 642 and it stays put but i wish it was not so thick and bulky.

Lou Alessi recommended PCS for pocket holsters.

There isn't a higher accolade than that.

I have used one of his mag holders for years and it is as good as new.

I have the Blackbird in cordovan for my 342Ti. The quality is second to none and Mike is a great person to deal with. I had lots of questions about his various offerings, and he was very prompt and thorough with his answers.

The Uncle Mikes IWB With the Clip removed is one of my favorite pocket holsters as I said because it's so lite & thin.
I have a realy nice Kramer But it only works well with pants with enough room as it makes it bulkier, But it does look like a wallet in you front pocket..
Here's a pic of the Uncle Mikes & the Kramer + a Rafter S. Sharkskin hip holster all for J Frames + a few other cheap clip holsters..
I have when wearing dockers or more loose fitting pants put a thick wide rubber band around the Uncle Mikes to help hold it in the pocket, work suprisingly well & is very inexspensive to try..

And if Lou Alessi thought highly of the PCS then they've got to be good, Lou made me some of the finest leather I ever seen for my HK P7M8 & I still have an Alessi Bodygaurd shoulder rig made about 25 years ago for my J Frames..

When it comes to pocket carry the pants your wearing are more important than the holster IMO, You have to dress around your clothes & choose the holster that's right for your dress.. It's always good to have a few different type to try with different pants, I have wanted to order a Mika holster for some time but have never gotten around to it yet..

Today I received my Pocket Concealment Systems French hook holster for my J frame. At the request of a fellow member I will put the review of the holster in the concealed carry section, which makes sense given the purpose of the holster. But a quick tasty appetizer - the holster is all that I expected and works even better than I thought it would. Main course will be served in the concealed carry section.

I use a $9 Blackhawk pocket holster for my J-frames. Works great.

340PD and Galco has worked for me. Wish I could find grips that go to top of backstrap and are rubber. Don't seem to make them as they would not work with a hammer gun.

Have you looked at the Crimson Trace LG305 or LG405 grips? I have the LG405's on my 638 and it has sort of a pad over the back strap. I don't know if they actually reduce recoil, but the lightweight gun is still rather snappy even with the CT's.

Just sent off for a Don Hume model 001 for my 642 J-frame.

This arrived two days ago. I am pleased -- quality is excellent and it does a great job in the pocket. The holster is a bit stiff when the gun is fully inserted, but I would be surprised if it weren't. I am breaking it in by first leaving the gun inserted when not in use, and secondly by doing repeated insertions/retractions whenever I can.
