The LCP, Bodyguard and other dinky little pistols look like they'd make great pocket pistols and for some they are. However, I wear an extra large glove and they just don't work for me. I had to put a larger grip on my 442 before I felt comfortable with it.
I'd like to be able to use a .380 pocket pistol at times but I'm not going to carry anything I can't shoot well. I'm not of the belief that it's enough to just have a gun with you.
My BUG is a BG380 and it just disappears in my pocket. My primary gun is either a Shield 40 or 40c and I also pocket carry those in a Desantis SuperFly holster.
My main pocket carry around the house is a 642, and I prefer J Frames for that purpose. I also often carry a small .22 mag. North American Arms Pug in a pocket as a BUG for my EDC P239.
I have a shield 9 in my pocket right now. I'm only 5'8" and 180 but don't have a problem with it. At my age (55) I don't wear tight jeans. It fits nicely in wrangler carpenter jeans as well as 5.11 pants. When I want to use that pocket I carry it in a Cook's IWB holster.
I carried a model 60 for years in the front jacket pocket. I now have a 642 that I occassionally carry, and during the summer months, I carry a Ruger LCP.
