Hi, I wanted to ask what was the best pocket pistols you guys/gals have used or own?

I've had a bunch, but the Ruger LCP has been my hands down favorite.

I had looked at a LCP at a LGS and the salesman said, put it in your pocket, I was shocked how well it fit in my front pocket.

Well for my pockets I see any hammer-less or shrouded hammer style j-frame S&W without a lock as a good choice.

Model 38, Model 638, and/or Model 642 serve as my EDCs. Occassionally, I'll resort to a .32ACP Seecamp as the BUG to my BUG.

Regards,

Dave

The LCP, Bodyguard and other dinky little pistols look like they'd make great pocket pistols and for some they are. However, I wear an extra large glove and they just don't work for me. I had to put a larger grip on my 442 before I felt comfortable with it.
I'd like to be able to use a .380 pocket pistol at times but I'm not going to carry anything I can't shoot well. I'm not of the belief that it's enough to just have a gun with you.

My BUG is a BG380 and it just disappears in my pocket. My primary gun is either a Shield 40 or 40c and I also pocket carry those in a Desantis SuperFly holster.

My main pocket carry around the house is a 642, and I prefer J Frames for that purpose. I also often carry a small .22 mag. North American Arms Pug in a pocket as a BUG for my EDC P239.

I'm not sold on the tiny 380's personally, to each their own I guess.

I used to have this.......

The ruger is better IMO. :D

I've got a Shield and a J frame but they don't fit comfortably in my jeans pockets. My only true pocket pistol is an LCP

I have a shield 9 in my pocket right now. I'm only 5'8" and 180 but don't have a problem with it. At my age (55) I don't wear tight jeans. It fits nicely in wrangler carpenter jeans as well as 5.11 pants. When I want to use that pocket I carry it in a Cook's IWB holster.

I carried a model 60 for years in the front jacket pocket. I now have a 642 that I occassionally carry, and during the summer months, I carry a Ruger LCP.
