Are there and S&w revolvers with 6 or more rounds that can be pocket carried. I wear shorts 90% of the year and would like more than 5 rounds in one pocket.

Check out a Model 13 or Model 65 K-frame .357 with 3" barrel. Fixed sight, no snag. Maybe put a boot grip on it and bob the hammer for pocket carry. Problem is the K weighs about 2-1/2 lbs. empty. These are my camping/fishing kit guns:

I have pocket carried a Model 64 2" many times, it isn't that heavy and much easier to shoot than any J-frame.

The Model 12 is the same gun with an aluminum frame, it is not rated for +P though. A Nightguard 315 or 242Ti might also be good if you can find one.

It depends on what pocket you have. You'll have trouble with any 6-shot medium caliber revolver in a typical pants pocket, it may fit a cargo pants pocket, and you can hide a 2" 8-shot N frame model 327 in a jacket pocket.

A 2" K frame (model 10 or 64) may work in an outsized pocket.

...models 10...12...15...64...with 2 inch barrel...all 6 shot k frames...12 is aluminum alloy frame...64 is stainless steel...15 has adjustable sights...all 38 special...

I, like Silversnake, can carry my Model 64-2 in a cargo shorts front pocket. The weight doesn't bother me at all.

Mine is a DAO gun that isn't bobbed. I ordered a Mika pocket holster for about a month ago, but I haven't received it yet. I don't want to wear out my pockets and hope the Mika will help with that.

For size and weight a Colt Detective Special ........ if you can find one in your price range!!!

I've got 2 2" Model 10 K-frames... no way I could pocket carry.....I'm 5' 9" 165lbs........... IMHO a lot of size and weight for just 1 more round.

Heck ; just get a Safariland speedloader or 2 airweight j-frames for 10 rounds and you are "balanced".

I have a stable of J frames and a couple of Ruger SP101s and love them all. The only revolver I have that fits your criteria is my 1970s era Colt Cobra. What a beautiful gun. Light weight, 6 rounds and feels great in my hand (until, I pull the trigger).

The reasons I don't carry it: it's in too nice condition (for me to carry), it would be much more expensive to replace than any of my J frames, if I feel I need 6 or more rounds I will carry a small semi-auto.

One of these days I will find a K or L frame with a short barrel, that I just can't pass up. Currently all my Ks and Ls are 4 inch or longer.

I would not try to carry a K or L frame Smith in a pocket. It might fit in cargo pants, but it would swing around and slap your leg with each step, shouting "man with a gun" to anyone not buried in their iPhone. A 2-1/2" K frame is still nearly 7" long and 32 oz.

A 3" or shorter K or L frame is easy to carry IWB, which works even with shorts if you own a belt (preferably a belt made for carrying). Sometimes we have to adjust our personal dress code to accommodate concealed carry.

I'm perfectly comfortable carrying a small pistol, preferably .45 ACP, in a pocket holster. In fact, I have one on during waking hours, all day, every day.

The Mika holster is well worth the wait in my opinion.
I always use mine when pocket carrying my 64, it does a great job of protecting your pocket and keeping the revolver from shifting around.
I like it so much I ordered a 2nd Mika pocket holster for my J-frame, and I plan to get more for other pocket shapes.

I recently picked up a Ruger LCR in .327 mag...j frame size and 6 shots. Plus you can shoot other length .32 cartridges in them: .32 H&R mag, .32 S&W long and short, and I've even shot a few .32 ACP in it.

I have carried 2 for 40 years this year. Your 6 shot qualifier is a doosey. As others have said, and I agree, Colt Agent or Cobra will do what you need. The 32 mag will also give you what you need. The hateful thing about pocket carry is to guard against the Pendulum Affect. If you carry in cargo shorts this can be a problem. Jeans or cargo pants, not so bad. Any of the above guns will go ABOUT 20 ounces all up. DeSantis Nemesis holsters work well for me. What do I know??? I've only been doing it 40 years. The guns for me have been an evolving process. Always 2..Always in my pocket. Carry every step...shoot every day.
